Paddle serves as an information hub for avid kayakers who are always on the prowl for the next great waterway. Paddle was born out of a frustration with other tracking interfaces, providing all the information a paddler may need to plan their next trip. Relying heavily on user feedback and reviews, Paddle populates lists of the best places to kayak based on many parameters, including distance, difficulty and user tags to create a customized and utilitarian user experience.
Paddle’s secondary function is to track mileage, distance and calories burned in real time, as well as safety beacon features to enhance the feeling of security when out on the water. The key was to optimize usability and intuitiveness to make users feel at ease, safe, and well-informed, while also providing a social element through its reviews.
